A compelling story about an intriguing character told with care Pantani was always an interesting figure to me, all the more so as his career imploded and he ultimately succumbed to an early death. All in the name of fame, fortune and grander. Like Lance Armstrong, Pantani was an amazing athlete in his own right and without drugs being injected into the sport would have still flourished.
